Soap dispenser pump QC: Step-by-step

Step 1: Pump cycle test (the most important test)

500 continuous pump cycles minimum. Measure force at cycle 1, 100, 250, and 500. Force deviation should not exceed 30% — if the spring weakens by 50%+ after 250 cycles, the pump will feel "loose" within 2 weeks of customer use.

Step 2: Tube detachment test

The dip tube (the plastic tube that goes into the liquid) is press-fit onto the pump body. Pull force minimum 15N. We've seen dip tubes with only 5N pull strength — they detach on the first pump and float inside the bottle.

Step 3: Spring corrosion check

Disassemble pump. Spring should be 304 stainless steel, not zinc-plated carbon steel. Magnetic test: 304 SS is non-magnetic (or very weakly magnetic). Zinc-plated = magnetic = will rust in bathroom humidity within 1-2 months.

Shower caddy and bathroom organizer QC

Shower caddies are the second-highest return item in bathroom accessories. Main failure: the finish doesn't survive a shower environment.

✅ For FBA sellers targeting 4+ star ratings: require 304 SS or anodized aluminum only. Carbon steel chrome-plated caddies get 3-star reviews within 6 months: "Looks great for a month, then starts rusting."

Toothbrush holder and bathroom organizer QC checklist

✅ Sizing tolerance: toothbrush holes must accommodate standard (14mm) and electric (25mm) brush handles. We found a batch where holes were only 12mm — regular brushes fit, electric brushes didn't. SKU was listed as "fits all toothbrushes."

✅ Drainage: toothbrush holders need bottom drainage holes (at least 3mm diameter, angled for complete drainage). No drainage = standing water = mold = negative reviews.

✅ Base stability: filled with 5 toothbrushes (200g load), the holder must not tip at 15° angle. A Yiwu batch we inspected tipped at 10° — center of gravity was 15mm too high because the ceramic base was thinner than spec.

Real inspection: Chaozhou bathroom accessories shipment (June 2026)

Product: 1,500 pcs bathroom accessory sets (soap dispenser + toothbrush holder + tumbler) on a tray. Material: glazed ceramic with matte finish. Destination: Amazon FBA warehouse.

Our findings: 12% of soap dispenser pumps had dip tube pull strength under 10N (failed at 5-8N). 8% of tumblers had rim chips larger than 2mm (Amazon FBA return threshold). 5% of trays had insufficient anti-slip pads — pads popped off under 3N shear force.
