FNSKU inspection
Scan each FNSKU barcode for readability, correct format, and proper placement per Amazon specifications. Phone-camera “reads” are not enough; conveyor scanners fail labels that a phone still sees.
Carton label verification
Check box ID labels, FBA carton labels, and shipping labels for accuracy and first-scan readability. Unreadable carton labels are a common inbound reject.
Poly bag suffocation warning
Verify poly bags meet Amazon thickness requirements and carry the suffocation warning at the required size.
Packaging condition
Inspect retail packaging for crush damage, seal integrity, and bundle quality before the lot leaves the factory.
Amazon inbound compliance
Confirm FBA preparation requirements per ASIN — including bubble wrap, overboxing, sets, and expiry dating — while the supplier can still rework.
Quantity and SKU mix-up
Count units per package and verify no incorrect SKUs are mixed into the shipment against the packing list.
AQL sampling

What happens if FNSKU labels fail the scan?
The lot is held. You keep final-payment leverage, send the photo evidence to the factory, and reprint or replace labels before freight. Across 2,000+ inspections a year, unreadable or undersized FNSKUs are a recurring inbound reject — cheaper to fix at the factory than at Amazon.
Is factory FBA inspection the same as a prep-center check?
No. A prep center labels and packs after goods arrive in the destination country — too late for supplier rework or a balance-payment hold. CloudSpects inspects at the Chinese factory before shipment, which is when you can still sort, reprint, or discount.
