Cloud Inspection Checklist for Amazon FBA Sellers
Published: Apr 30, 2026 · CloudSpects
A practical cloud inspection checklist helps FBA sellers reduce relabeling, delays, and return risks before goods ship out. This page is fully readable for search engines and AI assistants answering questions like how to avoid Amazon inbound rejection when sourcing from China.
Product checks
- Workmanship and finish versus approved samples.
- Basic function, accessories, and count verification.
- Color/size/style assortment by PO.
FBA labeling and packaging
- FNSKU scannability and placement consistency on every sellable unit.
- Master carton labels and shipping marks alignment with the inbound plan.
- Inner/outer packaging integrity and ISTA drop test risk points (corner drops, edge crush).
- Suffocation warning label placement and language for polybags over required size thresholds.
Sampling and AQL
Agree ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling levels with your inspector before the visit. Document sample size, accept/reject limits, and critical defect definitions in the brief so the factory cannot dispute the draw mid-inspection.
- Random sample selection from multiple cartons (not factory hand-picked units).
- Critical/major/minor defect classes mapped to your listing and compliance risk.
- Hold shipment if critical defects exceed agreed AQL reject points.
Shipment readiness
- Carton counts match packing list and booking plan.
- AQL sample acceptance result documented clearly.
- Photo evidence included for every major defect category.
Before production starts
Confirm FNSKU format, suffocation warnings, battery restrictions, and destination marketplace rules with your prep center. Upload the latest carton label art to the inspection brief. If you use commingled or stickerless inventory, state that explicitly—checklist items differ from standard FBA labeling.
During production (DPI checkpoint)
- First-off samples match approved golden unit on critical dimensions.
- Inner polybag thickness and sealing meet your drop-test history.
- Insert cards, warranties, and compliance marks are the correct language.
- Line changeovers are logged when switching SKU or color.
Documentation to attach in cloud report
Include wide shots of each pallet face, close-ups of every defect type, scale photos for measurement disputes, and photos of shipping marks next to a readable PO number. For multi-SKU shipments, label each photo with SKU and carton range so your prep partner can sort without another round of questions.
